Although I've been fortunate to have some time to knit for myself for the past couple weeks, I did sneak in one quick sample.
It's the Snake Cable Camisole, from Alchemy, of course, knit in Lantern Silk Purse, size 36. Although this isn't a color I would normally choose for myself (aside from maybe to wear on the occasional Sunday), it doesn't seem too bad with a shirt underneath.
And yes, I am sick and tired of my Barely Legal-esque shots (at least with my face being as drawn and wan as it is here, there is no question as to my jailbait status), but there just aren't that many flat surfaces to rest my camera upon. Say hello to my bra, as well.
I really enjoyed this- it took me 4 nights, seaming included, and very little yarn. I can definitely see one of these in my future, possibly in Punky.
Although there is another box winging its way to me presently, that didn't stop me from starting another holiday project (the fact that my selfish ones have been
disasters not working so well didn't help). I know that I can't be the only one that tries to be prepared for the season, and does a decent job of it, but as the holy-daze approach, I get more and more frenzied that I must. buy. more. gifts. Apparently this has carried over to my knitting, as well. The other two projects are for the Shrinky Pinks, and since they have received less of my knitting than most anyone else, save Mr. Pink (they get a lot of special privileges, I don't feel that bad), I decided to try to get something done for them before the Big Guy arrives. It is mostly autopilot knitting, now that I have written out the pattern (I use pattern loosely), and maybe I can get one of them done by the end of the week, if I work on nothing else.
*Photos courtesy of my old camera (I had no idea how much I didn't miss it), since I can't find my Fucking battery charger. I know I can't be the only one whose alert level isn't literally color coded, but more colored language coded- in my case moving from light sigh -> heavy sigh -> hmmmmm -> politely asking the object to reveal itself -> terse 'Yoo hoo!'s that are barely masked -> all out curse words -> banshee screams.
