I was just bumming around, as I am wont to do, and guess what I found?
Holy crap.
Actually, I don't really know if I like the colors or not, as even though my monitor can be pretty accurate on most things, it is completely off on others. That violet is not even vaguely Beauregard-y here.
But who cares? It's back!
I like a lot of th ecolors. I think they are nice and better than the primary colors that were previously in the color lineup. I won't make a mad dash to buy it, because Lord knows, I stocked up when it was being discontinued. It is nice to see that perhaps LB listened to us knitters and crocheters by bringing it back.

Does that mean you will stop hoarding the bags you have tucked in your basement?
I thought not.

hmm well i'm glad it's back...mostly for you. since i know you've missed it so ;)
but i'm on the fence about the colors. but that's how i feel about most LB yarns. the colors are kind of lame.
i'll have to see what this stuff looks like in person.

Wow, I can't believe you found them so soon, I was just talking about them today.
I kind of like the colors, pale, but not too pastely (well, let's wait and see them in real life).

i've never knit with cotton ease, but i've seen a lot of bloggers use it in their FOs. might have to check it out. I like the lime!

The lime isn't very coconut, either. But heck, I've never knit with the stuff, so I can't wait to see what the fuss is all about. Even if that stone don't roll.

I am so happy to see it again! I still have some stashed away - currently working on a cardi in it actually, but these new colors look pretty nice to me. I like the muted palette. Thanks for the links, Cathi dear!!

Hooray! The best news I've heard all day--thanks! I have to say I like the colors too, though I think they are not coming out true-to-life online. can't wait to see them in person!

As I told you earlier tonight ... they're trying to copy knitpicks who copied Debbie Bliss with the "muted tones". Still ... the trick is to find them at 50% off and I bet I could be convinced to buy a boatload of them. :)

ooh! what will you make? discounts make me all warm and fuzzy on the inside

yay! I'm not sure about the colors, either. Maybe in person they will look more like what they are named? I do like that they are a bit more muted, tho.

The colors didn't look to great on my monitor either, but hopefully they're nicer in person.

mmm... Cotton Ease. New friends to go along with the scary secret hoard I bought when it got discontinued!

I can't wait to see them in person. I really liked a couple of them but it's so hard to be sure until you have it in your hands.

Interesting. Very interesting. I have to see it with my own eyes.

awesome! and even if i don't love all the colors, they're *so* much better than the old palette!
Posted by: jody | November 06, 2006 at 09:31 AM
WAHOO! that's fantastic news lol
Then again, I'm still buried under no small horde of Cotton Ease from when it was discontinued. How embarassing. Clearly I have SABLE tendancies.

I love the new, more subtle colors!
